Discover Korean Heritage in Singapore: Exciting Events and Interactive Programs at NATAS Holidays 2024
SEOUL, South Korea, August 13, 2024 — The Korea Heritage Agency (KHA) has confirmed its participation in Singapore’s largest travel expo, NATAS Holidays 2024, from August 16 to 18. This premier event will serve as a key platform for KHA to highlight the richness of Korean heritage and attract Singaporean tourists to explore Korea.
NATAS Holidays, Singapore’s leading travel fair, draws over 100,000 visitors each year and features a wide range of participants, including government organizations, travel agencies, and airlines. During the event, KHA will operate a dedicated booth within the Korea Pavilion, where it will actively engage in promotional activities to appeal to potential tourists.
A major focus of KHA’s presence at NATAS will be the promotion of the "Visit Korean Heritage Campaign." This campaign will emphasize several upcoming events, such as the "Morning of Royalty – An Early Tour of Changdeokgung," scheduled from October 22 for six days at the historic Changdeokgung Palace. Additionally, KHA will introduce the "Korean Heritage Passport Tour," designed to encourage exploration of Korea’s cultural sites. The booth will also highlight the "World Heritage Festival," which will take place across seven regions in Korea from September to October, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience Korea’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
KHA will also support the K-Royal Culture Festival, Korea’s largest celebration of national heritage, by providing information on its popular programs, including the "Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour," "Gyeongbokgung Starlight Night Tour," and "Gyeongbokgung Saenggwabang Tour." Visitors will have access to a mailing service for making reservations, and special attention will be given to promoting the "K-Royal Palaces Pass," which grants unlimited access to Seoul’s five major palaces and Jongmyo Shrine during the festival from October 9 to 13.
To further engage visitors, KHA’s booth will feature a variety of interactive events and activities. These include the "World Heritage 3D Tour Platform," "Korean Heritage & World Heritage Yunnori" (a traditional Korean board game), the "Character Making Activity – Genre Painting for All," and the "Coloring Activity – Coloring the Korean Royal Palaces 'Gung' and 'Hanbok'." These activities are designed to provide visitors with an immersive experience of Korean culture and heritage.
A spokesperson for KHA stated, "Our aim is to maximize our promotional impact at NATAS, ensuring that visitors to the Korea Pavilion, along with global tourism professionals, are captivated by the beauty and significance of Korean heritage. We hope to inspire more people to visit these extraordinary sites."
