Grab has unveiled 13 new AI-powered features at its GrabX 2026 event, aiming to transform its app into an “everyday intelligent assistant” for users across Southeast Asia.

These features are designed to help users make faster and smarter decisions — from choosing meals to planning trips and navigating cities more efficiently.
One of the highlights is the new AI Assistant, which can help users search for food, plan activities, and even organise daily tasks through simple inputs like voice notes.

Grab also introduced tools like Group Ride, which allows users to share rides and split fares automatically, potentially reducing transport costs by up to 40%.
Beyond consumers, Grab is also using AI to support drivers and merchants — including smart assistants that provide real-time advice and tools to improve business operations.

With AI becoming a core part of its strategy, Grab aims to make everyday services more efficient, personalised, and accessible for millions of users in the region.
