Singaporean Driver Charged in Johor Over Fatal Second Link Accident Involving Motorcyclist

A Singaporean motorist has been charged in Johor following a tragic accident along the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link that claimed the life of a motorcyclist. The incident occurred near Gelang Patah on the Second Link Highway.

According to Johor police, the Singaporean driver was allegedly involved in reckless driving, leading to a fatal collision. He now faces charges under Section 41(1) of Malaysia’s Road Transport Act for causing death by dangerous or negligent driving.

If convicted, the driver could face 5 to 10 years in prison, a fine ranging from RM20,000 to RM50,000, and a possible driving ban.
